Paddle or padel? Two names, same fun!

If you are not already a fan, get three friends, book a court in Rapallo and try this simple and healthy sport, which can be played both indoors and outdoors and will win you over. Recently arrived in the city, it seems to derive from a pastime that English sailors invented in the 19th century to be able to ‘play tennis’ in the hold during long hours at sea. The name paddle is due to the fact that oars were used as paddles.

Interesting fact: The balls used look identical to tennis balls, but they have differences: in paddle they can be slightly smaller!
