A short, exciting loop for expert hikers (about 3 km – difference in altitude 430 m)!
You start from Chignero (370 m above sea level), an ancient hamlet of Rapallo, reachable by car or bus. At the end of the driveway, take the path which, crossing the wood, along a splendid paved path, reaches Passo Serra. Here the vegetation becomes more stunted, but the view is glorious. Continue for a challenging stretch, equipped with chains, until you reach the summit of the Manico del Lume (800 m a.s.l.) from which you can enjoy a 360 ° view on the Gulf and the hinterland. The descent, also for expert hikers, soon brings you back to the town, between the scent of thyme and the bleating of timid wild goats.
Curiosity: A long time ago, in Chignero, the roofs housed vineyards, supported by poles fixed in large pierced stones that still protrude from the walls of many houses today.
