A 7 km ride in a wood, a stone’s throw from the center!
At the beginning of Via Aurelia Ponente, take Via Gattorno on the right and climb up to take Via Chichizola which, winding between the houses, leads to the dirt road. To access it, at the intersection with Via Costaguta Romana, you have to climb a few steps and then turn right towards the church of Saints Gervasio and Protasio. When you reach the panoramic bench, the path turns left, plunging into the woods. Once in the locality of Ronco, take the asphalted downhill road to via S. Maria del Campo. Here you can decide whether to continue to the hamlet of San Massimo or return to the city center.
Curiosity: A short detour leads to the small church of Saints Gervasio and Protasio, in the Costaguta district, which rises between olive groves and centuries-old chestnut trees.
